And it's not just renters. There are hardworking,
fair-minded agents doing the right thing every day —
only to be swallowed by a system that rarely
recognises the difference.

RentWatch wasn't built in a boardroom. It was built from lived experience.
Like many Australians, we've seen both sides of the rental system.
We've had genuinely wonderful landlords and property managers. People who treated tenants like human beings. People who worked with renters when times were tough. People who communicated honestly, acted fairly and earned trust.
Those experiences matter.
In fact, RentWatch exists in part to make sure good landlords, property managers and agencies receive the recognition they deserve.
But we've also experienced the other side.
Rent increases that couldn't be justified. Maintenance concerns that seemed to disappear into a void. A system that often felt confusing, overwhelming and weighted against the person paying the rent.
Most frustrating of all was the feeling that there was nowhere to turn — and no way to help the next person avoid the same experience.
That's why RentWatch was created.
The good experiences showed us what the standard should be.
The bad experiences showed us why transparency matters.
RentWatch exists for one simple reason:
To give Australians better information, greater transparency, a stronger voice before they sign a lease — and to create awareness.
Australia is in a rental crisis. Vacancy rates in most cities are near record lows. Rents have risen faster than wages for years. And renters — who make up more than 30% of Australian households — have had almost no tools built specifically for them.
The platforms that exist were built to serve landlords and agents. The review systems that exist are either unverified, easily manipulated, or locked behind paywalls. And the legislation that's meant to protect renters varies wildly by state — with most renters not knowing what rights they actually have.
RentWatch was built to change that. A verified, independent, renter-first platform where the truth about properties, agencies, and landlords can be found by the people who need it most — before they sign.
Every review comes from a tenant who can prove they lived there. No fake reviews. No paid placements. Just honest, documented experiences.
We verify you, then delete your documents. We hold nothing. Your public profile is only as visible as you choose to make it.
Good landlords and agencies deserve recognition. Bad ones deserve accountability. We're not a complaints site — we're a truth site.
Search any address, agency, or landlord and read what real tenants experienced — before you commit to a lease.
RentWatch Voices publishes independent, verified editorial on rental law — every state, every reform, explained in plain English.
Every decision we make is made with renters in mind first. Because you are why this exists.
"Real reviews. Real tenants.
Better rentals for all Australians."

Every ad on RentWatch is geo-targeted by state. When a renter in Queensland is browsing — they see Queensland businesses. Multiple spots on every page. Best offer wins each spot, every month.
The moment a visitor selects their state, every ad across the entire platform switches to show businesses for that state. Queensland visitor = Queensland ads. NSW visitor = NSW ads.
Every page reserves at least one spot exclusively for businesses operating in that state. A Sydney firm cannot buy a local QLD reserved slot — it stays for Queensland businesses only. This protects local operators from being outbid by national conglomerates on their home turf.
Remaining spots on each page are open to any business in Australia. A national company from NSW can bid for QLD placements, VIC placements, every state — as long as they're willing to pay for each one. The best offer wins each slot, each month.
Each row below shows the number of ad spots on that page — for every state. Total of 14+ placements across the platform per state, every month.
× 8 states = 112 total ad placements available across Australia each month
Starting prices for a single slot. Multiple slots and cross-state packages are negotiated directly.
Real estate and business slots. Highest visibility — every visitor sees your state's home page first.
Sidebar widget + mid-results banner. Renters actively looking at properties in their state.
High dwell time. Renters discussing bonds, repairs and landlord issues in your state.
Engaged, informed readers. Property professionals, advocates and market-aware tenants.
Renters actively seeking legal help, tribunal guidance, tenant advocacy. High intent audience.
Premium featured placement on the Agents and Tradies pages. Multiple spots. Monthly auction — best offer wins.
